Survivors Women

The women are recognized as fighters and survivors, and those are the women's favorite labels. There are so many songs with that topic and two of the best known are "Survivor" by Destiny's Child and "I will survive" by Gloria Gaynor.

"Survivor" is a song by the American group Destiny's Child, it was written and composed by band member BeyoncĂ© Knowles, the song was inspired by the jokes and negative comments that the group was receiving, but after the release of the song in February 13 of 2001 all the negative comments became in ovations. "Survivor" won a Grammy Awards in 2002 for "Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals". This song opened the doors to the group's success.

"I will survive" by the American singer Gloria Gaynor, released in October 1978. It was written by Freddie Perren and Dino Fekaris. The song's lyrics describe the  personal strength after of a devastating breakup. This song is one of the most famous disco songs of all time, it is also recognized as a symbol of female strength and as a gay anthem. The song won a Grammy in 1980, the only year that the disco music has been awarded.

Both songs have a striking and powerful content, so I decided to share a mash of the songs by the glee cast version, an American musical series

The previous songs are based in situations that the composers lived and exceeded. In life there are always situations that tested you, and your strength makes you a survivor.

Here is the video, I hope you enjoy it
